Please read the following terms and conditions carefully and in full before placing an order with Charles Steevenson Wines Ltd. By placing your order with Charles Steevenson Wines Ltd. you are agreeing to be bound by our terms and conditions as laid out below.
For the purposes of this agreement and in all documentation herein the term 'we', 'us' and 'our' refers to Charles Steevenson Wines Ltd. the term 'you' refers to anyone being our, or prospective customer using the website either for information or the purchase of goods and products listed on the site. We reserve the right to change, remove or add to our terms and conditions without prior notice at any time. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Age Agreement
Charles Steevenson Wines Ltd. does not sell to anyone under the age of eighteen years old. By making a purchase on this website you agree that you are over the age of eighteen, and all information given at the time of purchase is true and accurate.
2. Making A Purchase
By placing wines, spirits and any other products for sale on the Charles Steevenson Wines Ltd. website in the shopping basket you may then go to the checkout to complete your purchase. Simply follow the onscreen instructions to register an account with us and pay for your purchase via our secure PAYPAL shopping cart. Payments are taken including delivery charges at the time of placing your order. PLEASE NOTE THAT ORDERS OVER £200 ARE DELIVERED FREE OF CHARGE TO ANY UK MAINLAND ADDRESS THAT IS NOT LISTED AS A SPECIAL DELIVERY DESTINATION IN THE TABLE IN OUR DELIVERY SECTION (4.4.)

3. Pricing:
All prices are listed including VAT at the current rate of 20%. The VAT is included in all prices listed of wine, beer, spirits, gift packaging and delivery, before you make your purchase. All prices are correct at time of listing on the website but are subject to currency, VAT and Duty changes. We reserve the right to change any or all of the prices listed on this website without warning and at any time. This will allow us to monitor current price changes and therefore constantly offer you, the customer, the most up-to-date and keenest prices possible. It is our intention to always offer you, the best price possible and try to maintain a level of consistency to offer some comfort and familiarity to your shopping experience. We reserve the right to remove any product without prior notice.
4.1. Delivery
STANDARD DELIVERY: DELIVERY TO A SINGLE UK MAINLAND ADDRESS
* Orders up to the value of £200 are:
~ For the first case of x12 bottles or less = £8.50 (inc.vat.)
~ Two cases = £11.95 (inc.vat.)
~ Three cases = £15.55 (inc.vat.)
~ Four Cases = £19.15 (inc.vat.)
4.2. Orders of £200 and above are delivered free of charge to any UK mainland address, regardless of case quantity.
4.3. We use a national courier service that will usually offer a standard five to ten day service, and whilst we will endeavor to dispatch goods as quickly as possible, it can take longer than stated, and often much less; so we ask all our customers to expect delivery within five to ten days. We do not deliver on a Sunday.
We prefer goods to be sent to an address that is populated as a signature is required on receipt of all goods. Therefore it is sometimes advisable to have your delivery sent to your work address to ensure there is someone there to sign for your delivery who is over the age of 18yrs. If no one is available to sign for your delivery then the carrier will leave a card for you with instructions as to how to contact them to arrange another delivery attempt. Any other delivery information or special requests should be made at the time of ordering.
We reserve the right to charge for re-delivering orders that have not been delivered due to incorrect or incomplete addresses when supplied by you at the time of ordering via the address fields on the website.

4.5. Local Delivery: We offer a local delivery service for a reduced rate of £3.95 inc. vat. to certain address postcodes as listed below. These deliveries will be made by our own fleet of vans and will fit in with our usual delivery routes.
PL1 - PL7, PL12, PL14 - PL21, EX1 - EX6, EX20, TQ10, TQ11, TQ13
There is also the option to collect your purchase from our warehouse at you convenience any time after two days from placing your order, free of charge. Please remember to check the 'Local Collect' box when placing your order.
5. Ownership
All goods purchased on this website remain the property of Charles Steevenson Wines Ltd. until the correct payment has been received in full, regardless of whether the goods have been delivered or not. For whatever reason, we reserve the right to refuse your order for a period of up to forty eight hours after we receive your order. In this event we will refund any money that may have already been taken for the corresponding order.
6. Returns and out of condition wine
6.1. Right to Cancel: You have the right to cancel your order up to and including 7 days from the receipt of the goods. If you wish to cancel an order you must do so in writing within the stated time. If you choose to cancel an order there is a return delivery charge of £9.95 per case which must be paid in advance of the goods being returned to us, we will then issue a full refund for the original purchase including the original delivery charge, providing we receive the original order back safely and in perfect condition.
6.2. Damaged or Broken: If wine is damaged or broken on delivery you must notify us within 24hrs of receipt of the goods. The damaged or faulty goods must be returned to us for verification and must be accompanied by a valid signed delivery note from our carrier saying that a breakage has occurred. At our discretion we will issue either a replacement at our earliest convenience and at our expense or a credit for the value of the wine that is returned.
6.3. Corked or Out of Condition: We will be happy to replace or credit for any wine that is found to be corked or faulty as long as we can verify the condition of the wine. You will need to inform us of a wine being out of condition within 14 days of receipt of the goods so that we can instruct our carrier to collect the goods and return them to us, in this case please return the goods in their original packaging wherever possible. On verification that the wine is out of condition we will either issue a refund for the wine or send out replacement bottles at our expense as the wine is proven to be faulty.
6.4. Returns Policy: If you change your mind about your purchase and would like to return it you must inform us in writing that you wish to do so within 7 days from the receipt of the goods. Please return the unused goods to us with a copy of the original order within 14 days, and we will offer you an exchange or a credit note. This does not affect your legal rights, including your right to claim a refund, replacement, repair and/or compensation where the goods are faulty or misdescribed. If there is nothing wrong with the wine then you must pay for the returns which we will arrange with our trusted carrier. To return goods to us you must pay £9.95 per case in advance of the goods being returned. Within 30 days of the safe return of the goods we will issue a refund for the wine returned but not the carriage costs.
7. Images & Descriptions
Whilst we will always endeavor to keep information and images up to date and current, there may be occasions when the photograph or vintage of a particular product reflects a different vintage to the one available for sale. This will be updated as soon as an image of the new vintage is available, however in the mean time we will send out the newest vintage of the same wine that we have in stock.
8. Stock
ALL WINES, SPIRITS AND ANY OTHER GOODS ARE SOLD SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY.
If a wine becomes out of stock, unavailable, or discontinued Charles Steevenson Wines Ltd. reserves the right to remove it from this website without prior notice or enquiry. A product will be removed as soon as it becomes unavailable or out of stock. If wine becomes out of stock after you have placed your order we reserve the right to replace the item with a similar product of our choice that is of the same value or more, so as not to delay your delivery. In any event we will endeavor to inform you via email before your delivery is made giving you the opportunity to request a particular wine or a credit. WE DO NOT HOLD BACK ORDERS OR RESERVE WINE FOR PURCHASING AT A LATER DATE.
9. Privacy
You will need to register an account with Charles Steevenson Wines Ltd. in order to purchase anything from this website. The shopping cart history and any wish lists and compared products will be stored on your account to help you with any future visits to our site.
We will not share any personal information that you provide us with to any third party for any reason. We hold your personal information for the purposes of maintaining your profile and shopping history and to help with any future purchasing. WE DO NOT HOLD CREDIT CARD DETAILS OR FINANCIAL DETAILS OF ANY SORT. OUR SHOPPING CART IS VERIFIED BY PAYPAL OFFERING ALL THE SECURITY THAT THEY OFFER, AND ALL PAYMENTS ARE HANDLED BY PAYPAL.

11. Special Offers & Bin Ends
Any offers and Bin Ends are sold strictly on a first come first serve basis as often stocks are low. Offers may be listed for short periods of time and some will be available in very small quantities. Bin Ends are listed as wine that is either old vintage, no longer on our main listings, or discontinued for whatever reason; they are not out of condition. Therefore returns are not accepted for any other reason than a corked or out of condition wine as in paragraph 6.2 and 6.3 within these terms and conditions. Your right to cancel still applies to all purchases on the website (6.1.)
12. Legal
This contract is concluded in English and in accordance with English law.
