Our top selling ‘everyday’ Claret....dominated by the Cabernet Sauvignon grape this claret displays soft, ripe and generous cassis notes enhanced by a gentle kiss of oak.

A loyal friend which for many years filled the mid priced slot for Claret. A Cru Bourgeois by status with a high percentage of Cabernet and about 30% Merlot, lush, ripe, generous and very true.

Made in the satellite region of Lussac Saint-Emillion in Bordeaux which is famed for a rounder, more soft and approachable style of claret. Mostly dominated by Merlot, with some Cabernet Franc and aged in oak for more than 12 months. Drinking very well now but will withstand a good few years in the cellar.

A fine Cru Bourgeois; soft ripe and very generous with a touch of cassis, chocolate and dried fruits. Made just on the fringes of the Pauillac region a the very apparent high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon fruit.

A very respectable and dependable claret from Chateau Clos de Bonfils. At this price what more could you ask for?

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, aged in new oak. 35% Malbec gives a soft fruity approach with a sweet vanilla finish. Quite deep, greyish crimson. Slightly peppery and herbaceous on the nose smells very fresh and somehow summery. Some capsicum notes. Fresh and a little bit green on the palate but in an attractive rather than unripe way.

Element is a single varietal (Merlot) made from the 2009 harvest. It is a light and very fruity merlot with a light oak finish. . It is only 12% and is a perfect complement to poultry, pasta, fish or just with friends...
