Domaine de Villargeau, Coteaux du Giennois, situated near to the borders of Sancerre but not within its boundaries therefore allowing you to obtain a 'Sancerre look a-like' at a fraction of the cost of a real Sancerre.

Fantastic fruit on the initial palate but with a Sancerre-like dry clean and scented finish.

Gilbert Chon & Fils have been growers in the Muscadet for three centuries, having moved to the region from Burgundy in 1709 after frosts destroyed a large part of their vineyards there. They own a number of domaines (Château de la Jousselinière being the biggest with 27 hectares) and they all have Terra Vitis certification for integrated production, which, amongst other things, includes the use of natural processes to control pests and promotes the minimal use of chemical treatments.
