Chairman & Owner
Charles has been the driving force of the South West Wine Trade for over 30 years. Before he established Charles Steevenson Wines back in 1987 he had a career in Hotel Management that has shaped his work ethic ever since. Few people in the wine industry know more, or convey it with more passion than Charles. With his undiminished enthusiasm he can always be relied upon to understand and anticipate his customers' needs and enjoys longstanding working relationships stretching from West Devon down to Cornwall.
When not with a bottle in hand, Charles is normally sailing in Plymouth Sound.
Liam Steevenson MW
Liam joined the business 2 years ago as a Consultant to ensure that we have the right wines, look and feel to take us through the next thirty years. Liam became the youngest Master of Wine in the world back in 2004 and has gone on to consult and manage businesses all over the world. Not only does he spend the majority of his time flitting to find the next wine of the moment, he also produces his own wines in Cotes de Roussillon, Terra Alta in Spain, New Zealand, and his latest and most exciting vineyard production yet; India.
James has been selling wine for Steevenson Wines for as long as we can remember and still has boundless enthusiasm for the role. He delivers incredible service and customers frequently comment on his care and attention. Although James has an incredible knowledge of wine, his real passion is in Spirits - don't ask him about gin unless you have a lot of time to spare! Covering an extensive sales area from North Devon up to Dorchester and Somerset, he is always on the go.
Away from work....we refer you back to his gin passion!
Mike is everywhere, we try and slow him down but it's not easy. If this was a one man show, then Mike would be the man. He runs the operations, creates the computer packages, writes the wine list, answers the phone. Maybe a history in Hotel Management did this to him, but the man does not sleep!
When he's not at work you'll find him up on the moors walking his dogs or down at the coast discovering new paths. And come the festival season, he's off in his van to let his hair down!
